I would make a separate topic for this, let’s not muck up a request thread with discussion over Danbooru policy.

Regarding the posts, I would never consider post #5848479 for S, the scars are incredibly minuscule, lack special attention, and I can’t even see them on mobile without zooming in. post #6088801 I find less so because of the deeper-drawn scars and other details (tears, dead eyes, tattered clothes) but the lack of any outward blood, fresh injury or camera focus does not fully convince me. Feel free to quote me in your new thread, I’ll be asleep by the time you make it.

Also, you might want to interrogate @sabisabi and @HyphenSam as well.

Sorry, I thought it was within bounds for this thread and wasn't sure whether it justified a new one. I started a new topic.

Guro/body horror warning for the following:

These were rerated to S recently, though because of the detail of the organs, I think they should be rated at least Q. These aren't violent images (though there is plenty of body horror), so E might be too high. I know there are users still used to the old rating system and I don't always know where to draw the line for these posts myself, so I'd like some input from users with experience in rating guro/body horror if possible.

On a side note, I'm not sure if the guro tag is actually supposed to be used here since there's no violence, but since it's part of the default blacklist, I opted to leave it on for now.

I would go with Q. Also, guro does not necessarily mean "an act of violence." Body horror (within reason) should also go under guro.

To the pits of Q you go!

Seconded. I found that guro essentially relishes in its violence, compared to, say in this case, standard body horror. For me, these posts are definitely extreme enough to make me feel like the guro tag is necessary along with the body horror tag. I'd keep that tag on.

On a more on topic note, as someone who does occasionally upload pretty violent pics (a few of which are guro), these posts are definitely Q as previously mentioned.

The guro wiki emphasizes the part about violence and I was cautioned before about conflating body horror with guro (and after reading the DMail for the latter again, I may have misremembered some key points), so I was probably being more hesitant than necessary. This is good to know so I don't go too far in the other direction. Thanks.

The skirt rides quite high up on her thigh (another inch would show ass) so I’d tag it S. The G cutoff for thighs should be around a conservative zettai ryouiki, in my opinion.

Alrighty. It felt like an edge case to me (for that exact reason), so I wasn't sure if that was enough to make it S, as otherwise the image would be a pretty safe G. Thank you!

howto:rate says breast grabs get a Q rating.

e: ninja'd lol

I guess I had forgotten that it specifically mentions breast grab. However, in that case it seems to be a bit silly to me how posts like post #6318948, post #6332163, post #6458443, post #6039425, post #5738486, post #5698995 (just some examples) get S under this approach, while I'd argue the situations are more sexually suggestive and sexually charged than my original posts.

Maybe the approach could/should be revised? Since the more "Q-leaning" end of S is known to be pretty silly (rating:s order:score is a great way to find such posts, a decent number of which I'd argue are more sexually charged too).

post #6318948 and post #5698995 were already rerated Q. I think a good argument could be made for post #6039425 being Q as well.

post #6458443 is the most borderline in my opinion, but I think it could probably stay in S. If the swimsuit were any skimpier, it would definitely be Q.

I'm not sure what you're seeing in post #6332163 and post #5738486 that makes you think they're more suggestive. Especially the second... oh, right.
