albert removed regular users' ability to search deleted posts to give extra protection to artists who don't want their art showing up on danbooru. Not being able to see your own deleted uploads is a side effect of this, even though I haven't seen anyone agree with not being able to see their own deleted uploads. banned_artist is the tag that should be hidden, not status:deleted.

Presumably someone wrote to albert about this, but I don't know what progress was made.
If you still have the image or know its original source, you can use iqdb to find your deleted post.
