As far I as I can tell, we're currently using Japanese names for human characters and English names for Duel Monsters. For example, we have things like Dark Magician Girl (JP: Black Magician Girl), Winda Priestess of Gusto (JP: ガスタの巫女 ウィンダ, Gasuta no Miko Winda), Lyna the Light Charmer (JP: 光霊使いライナ, Koureitsukai Raina), etc. So we're basically in the same situation with Yu-Gi-Oh! that we were in with Pokemon. Although judging by list of Yuu-Gi-Ou characters, Yu-Gi-Oh! seems to have fewer human characters and fewer EN/JP name differences, so maybe it's less of a problem.
